Sasha Grey Gets “Smashed!”

Day #10 of “Shocktober 2019” features my friend Sasha Grey – who stars in a great piece of independent horror! Time to get bloody with the 2009 film “Smash Cut!”

Sasha Grey stars in this inventive comic thriller alongside David Hess, best known for this role in the iconic 70’s shocker “The Last House On The Left”.

In “Smash Cut”, Hess stars as a frustrated Director, with Sasha Grey as his unknowing new “star” – check out the trailer:

Yes, that was legendary “Blood Feast” Director Herschell Gordon Lewis narrating the trailer – and he also appears in the film – this legendary filmmaker died recently…leaving us a great body of exploitation cinema.

Actor David Hess is best known for the early 70’s shocker “The Last House On The Left” – and throughout his career, he has shown a great screen presence:

Sasha also does a great job in the film, a quirky character with a darker side as well…

Sasha is great in the film, which is a fun independent horror film – perfect for Shocktober!

Sasha’s Up For Anything!

As well as having a campy blast in “Smash Cut”, Sasha has been in a number of other terrific films, like “The Girlfriend Experience” and this #31daysofhalloween treat:

Desperate to help her ailing brother, a young woman unknowingly agrees to compete in a deadly game of “Would You Rather,” hosted by a sadistic aristocrat.

Sasha also DJ’s all over the world, and has written multiple bestselling novels as well…bravo Sasha!

I had the chance to work with Sasha in Australia, when she surfed the iconic Bondi Beach, and she was terrific – up for anything, like when we asked her to walk with sharks!
