Time To Get “Dirty”!
My love for all things “dirty” began when someone shared this poster…I didn’t know the film, but the word “dirty” reminded me that this was a popular genre in the 70’s!
Let’s get started with this one:
“The Dirty Dolls” has a perfect setup:
Johnny, a psychopath, forms a gang of young teenage girls and sends them out to commit crimes. Everything is going well until one day, during a diamond robbery, the girls are forced to take two hostages and bring them back to the hideout along with the loot.
As you can imagine, things take a “dirty” turn!
Furious, Johnny wants to kill the hostages so there will be no witnesses, but one of his gang, who happens to be his sister, starts to think that maybe Johnny is going too far!
“The Dirty Dolls” was a perfect drive-in movie: violence, sex and nudity..not much exists about it anymore, but it had one great sex kitten in it:
That’s Sharon Kelly on the far left. Perhaps the only reason to search out this film is for Sharon, who loved being nude:

Here’s another film that loved “Dirty Girls”:
“Mama’s Dirty Girls”
This 1974 film has a simple plot: Mama loves men, but she loves money even more. So she trains her three teenage daughters to meet, marry and murder men for their money! Of course, once they meet Harold, everything goes awry!
Another great 70’s drive-in film, perhaps the best reason for this one is Candice Rialson:
Candice bared all in a number of great 70’s films like “Pets” and “Chatterbox!” See more candid photos here:
One of erotic cinema’s great Directors was also part of this “dirty” trend:
“The Dirty Girls”
Legendary Director Radley Metzger made this film in 1965 – about a young woman in Paris who got very involved with the wrong kind of men…
Metzger also directed hardcore films under the name Henry Paris – they included the classics “The Opening Of Misty Beethoven” and “The Private Afternoons Of Pamela Mann”…
And finally, a film you never knew you needed:
“Dirty Dolls In Katmandu!”
How can you NOT love a film that promises “females outcasts whose illegal ways are absolutely legal! Soft young bodies hardened by wild cravings!
And in typical 70’s drive-in style, always an “exciting co-hit!”
Let’s not forget that some of these “dirty” films were wildly popular mainstream hits:
Of course it was a hit, with sex kitten Susan George playing “Dirty Mary!”
