Celebrating One Of Cult Cinema’s Most Entertaining Stars!
I have a blast researching the stories of some of cult cinema’s most recognizable faces…and also discovering someone who I hadn’t known as well…it all began when I came across this image:
Well, if someone went to the effort to put this out there, I had to find out why!
My “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” has the wildly entertaining career of Elizabeth Kaitan!
Elizabeth was born in 1960 in Hungary. She was brought to New York City by her mother when she was eight years old.
While growing up, it seems that Elizabeth knew exactly what she wanted to be – a star!
Kaitan moved to Manhattan at age 18 in order to become an Actress.
Breaking Into The Business – With Some Tromatic Help!
While trying to break into film, Kaitan did modeling work – but it wasn’t long before she scored a film role in a raucous comedy from a legendary cult movie company!
This bawdy 1981 film had a great poster and a simple premise: Three lovely waitresses contend with a drunken, slovenly chef and mutinous patrons.
Here is the trailer:
This movie was shot on location in a restaurant called Marty’s in Manhattan. The staff at Marty’s would not let the filmmakers shoot the picture during work hours, so the cast and crew had to wait until the restaurant closed and worked from twelve at night until ten in the morning.
By the way, this was also the film debut of Chris Noth, who went onto become “Big” on the iconic “Sex And The City” series.
For Elizabeth, the young Actress knew what she was doing, and what needed to be done to break into the business. As she said about her films:
“They’re not exactly classics but almost every well-known actor started in low-budget films. I’ve learned a lot, the people have been wonderful and I have footage to show.”
She made good on that by appearing in a string of great 80’s/90’s cult films about students at the police “Vice Academy”, who go out on the streets of L.A. and accumulate graduation points by making arrests!
Kaitan appeared as Candy in the series.
Here’s a trailer for the first three films from Vinegar Syndrome home video:
Over the course of six films, Kaitan bared all and had a blast doing so.
Linnea Quigley also starred in these films, and we all know what she is best known for:
Yep, she danced naked in a cemetery and that’s just the tip of the iceberg in a wild wild career for one of the most iconic “Scream Queens” of all time!

Elizabeth also starred in this 1987 horror sequel:
“Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2”
If you look closely, you’ll see her last name is spelled with a “C” on this poster…
That same year, Elizabeth appeared in “Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity”:
As the posters show, she went under the last name “Cayton” as well – but still seemed to be having a ball in the film:
The following year she starred in another hilariously titled film:
“Assault of the Killer Bimbos!”
Elizabeth starred as Lulu who,, along with fellow go-go dancer Peaches are framed for the murder of their employer by the real killer, sleazy gangster Vinnie.
Here’s the entertaining trailer:
Elizabeth plays Julie in this 1988 film – she’s a college student who is sexually assaulted by two fellow students. Desperate for revenge, she makes contact with a necromancer, who begins using her demonic powers to get rid of any guy Julie hates!
“Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood” was another 1988 film that Kaitan starred in – she was keeping very busy!
The following year she starred in “Roller Blade Warriors: Taken by Force”:
Kaitan then had the dual starring role as both frustrated unhappy housewife Beth and more uninhibited fantasy lover in the 1989 film “Night Club.”
One of her last erotic films was “Virtual Encounters” in 1996.
Elizabeth ended up with 40 film credits – some of the more popular 80’s cult films, and many more that are less well known – but she did them all!
Soon after, Elizabeth dropped out of the entertainment business, and currently goes by the name Elizabeth Ruiz; as of 2006 she was married to a Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy.
Kaitan had a great run of cult films, remaining me of another Cult Movie Queen of that era:
Julie K. Smith has been in some of the most entertaining cult films of the past 30 years..you can see more of her revealing career by clicking on my story here:
Another legend from that time passed away recently:
Julie Strain was a legend, and her death was very sad news for film fans…you can see some of her greatest film roles by clicking on my story here:
