Celebrating Italian Sex Kitten Silvia Dionisio!
My “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” has the incredible cult film career of an Italian Icon!
Silvia Dionisio was born on September 28, 1951 in Rome, Italy.
While she. was never a huge star in the US, Silvia was a European Superstar and sex kitten! Dionisio has more than 50+ credits to her name!
I was intrigued to find out more about Silvia’s career when a Facebook friend shared this classic cult poster:
“Waves Of Lust!”
What a title! In this 1975 erotic drama, a young couple become embroiled with the personal problems of another couple on a yacht moored off Sicily during a turbulent weekend of fun, games, sex games, betrayal, spouse abuse, and murder!
Dionisio also appeared in the Italian sex comedy “Erotomania”, and in this provocative horror film:
“Blood For Dracula”
In this 1974 shocker, an ailing vampire count travels to Italy with his servant to find a bride.
Dionisio appeared on the cover of the Italian edition of Playboy in 1976, beginning a strong of provocative photo shoots that made her a star:
She then appeared in a string of hugely popular Italian crime dramas, directed by the legendary Ruggero Deodato:
“Live Like A cop Die Like A Man”
Deodato’s 1976 crime thriller is the story of members of an elite ‘special squad’ of police in Rome who are “licenced-to-kill”, undercover cops who thrive on living dangerously.
Silvia was married to Director Deodato for 8 years during that time.
And what about this film:
Holiday Hookers!
Wow, check out this cast! This 1976 sex comedy starred Ernest Borgnine!
Madame is running a high class escort (and prostitution) service. She wants to quit the business as soon as she makes enough money to make her dreams come true. However, the relationship with her girls is deteriorating.
Corinne Clery also starred – what a career she had!
This Actress was in “The Story Of O” and a “Bond Girl” too!
See all of her credits here:
One of Silvia’s last classics had a poster that was unafraid to showcase all of the Actress in the artwork:
“Terror Express”
In this 1980 thriller, three thugs commandeer cars on a moving train and spread terror among the passengers.
Here’s the trailer:
What a string of films! Silvia was one of Italy’s most popular Actresses – and a hugely popular Model as well…
So what happened? In 1981, the Actress starred in the film “Murder Obsession”, and that was it!
After more than fifty acting credits, she left the business completely in the mid-80’s!
Dionisio left behind a number of classic cult films, and some very provocative photo shoots as well – a true Cult Movie Queen!
Cult movie fans were lucky to have a number of Cult Italian Actresses in a number of wild films:

Another one I hadn’t heard of, nor seen the films. She is older than me, so must be 70 now. Wonder what she did with her life after all those films?
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, she’s one of those who leaves no trail…she had a good run of cult films, then disappeared into regular life I guess…thanks for reading!
