Celebrating Lynda Wiesmeier!
Anytime I come across a great cult film from the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s, invariably I see an Actress who in unfamiliar to me…but when I begin to dig into their story, I undercover a treasure trove of great cult cinema!
My “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” has the story of Lynda Wiesmeier – who may not be a household name, but she made a slew of cult films made better because of her involvement in them!
Lynda was born on May 30, 1963 in Washington, D.C. Wiesmeier grew up in a variety of places throughout the US and Germany before ending up in Los Angeles, California.
Lynda was working as a receptionist at a doctor’s office before her photos ended up at Playboy magazine and soon, she was chosen as the Playmate of the Month for July 1982.
As was the case with many of the “sex kittens” I’ve profiled, her appearance in that magazine led to a number of great cult film appearances – ultimately, Lynda had 16 film credits. Here are a few of her best known roles:
This 1983 sex comedy, a businessman and his two bumbling nephews try to shut down a town’s only video arcade, and the arcade employees and loyal customers decide to fight back!

A search online found a wide array of provocative shots of Lynda – she knew how to take it off and make an impression, that’s for sure!
This 1983 sex comedy has a great cast! Here’s the plot: Chris attends a girls boarding school. She loves Jim from a nearby boys boarding school. However, another girl named Jordan also wants Jim – and ultimately, he and two friends sneak into the girls school posing as females!

As you can imagine, the boys come across a locker room full of nude girls, and Lynda proudly leads the way in the shower:
Next up, more ribald sex antics!
In this 1984 sex romp, three sexy women are hired to ensure that three college students don’t pass their final exams, which would preclude one of them from inheriting a family fortune.
Lynda also appeared in one of the most popular cult series of the 80’s:
In this 1985 erotic action thriller, a former prostitute escapes her street life past with help from Lt. Andrews. She studies law and leads a normal life. When Andrews is killed by a brutal gang, she returns to the streets as Angel to find his killers.
Also in 1985, Lynda had a great part in “Wheels Of Fire”: In a postapocalyptic future, a ruthless vehicular gang called the Highway Warriors is conquering the wasteland through murder and plunder.
Also in 1985, Wiesmeier appeared in one of Andy Sidaris’s colorful action thrillers…
In this film, several Playboy Playmates were credited, including one that I also featured recently:
Kimberly McArthur didn’t make many films, but she popped onscreen when she did!

Roberta Vasquez has a great run of cult films and you can see them all by clicking on my story here:
As you can see, Lynda was featured in a variety of films in small roles, but then, it all ended.
A year later, Lynda called it quits and left Hollywood!
Lynda went on to become an office manager in Lafayette, Louisiana and subsequently moved back to Southern California. Wiesmeier died tragically at 49 from a brain tumor in December 2012.
Bravo to Lynda for a great run in cult film…like many of these Actresses, stardom in film eluded them, but I don’t want them to be forgotten:
Cult Actress Marlene Appelt appeared in a number of French erotic films before disappearing…you can see her whole story here:
