Celebrating The Wildly Creative Career Of Misty Rowe!
This was a request from one of the fans of the “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown”, and I’m so glad I got it, because the story of Actress Misty Rowe is a great one!
Mistella “Misty” Rowe was born June 1, 1952 in Glendora, California.
She won the title “Miss Mini Skirt” in 1971, and jumped into a great career of film and TV roles, but it was the goofy TV show “Her Haw” that most people remember her for!
She and several other of the “honeys” were notable for performing in cleavage inducing halter tops, “Daisy Duke” shorts, and country-style minidresses.
She had a fun run of cult films as well, beginning with this gem:
“The Hitchhikers”
Misty was part of a gang of females hitchhikers who would flirt to get a life – then rob the guys!
They had a unique way to get a ride:
The “Hitchhiker” genre was popular win the 70’s. Here’s a look at some of the most provocative films!
Misty was also well known for portraying Marilyn Monroe in “Goodbye, Norma Jean” in 1976.
That same year, she surprised fans by posing for a 1976 Playboy pictorial!
Misty was busy in all sorts of roles: she appeared in early seasons of the classic TV sitcom “Happy Days” as Wendy, a carhop at Arnold’s Drive-In, along with dozens of other TV appearances.

Loose Shoes (1980), National Lampoon’s Class Reunion (1982), Meatballs Part II (1984):
Ultimately Misty left the business, but is fondly remembered by many for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe – what a terrific shot this is:
She also wrote her memoir – bravo Misty!
There were many Actresses who worked in mainstream and cult film simultaneously:
Sandy Johnson was a Playmate, but had an iconic role in “Halloween” as well!
