Celebrating The Career Of Actress / Model / Adult Star Teri Weigel!
As I see cult films schared across the inter web, I am always discovering new Cult Movie Queens – and they all have fascinating stories – including this one, which is very dramatic!
My 2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” has the story of Teri Weigel, a mainstream Actress and Playboy Model who made a dramatic career change after a serious accident!
She was born on February 24, 1962 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as Teresa Susan Weigel.
There are 3 distinct aspect of her career, beginning when she posed for Playboy, which as regular readers know is one of the most frequent ways for an Actress to make a splash in the business.
Weigel appeared on the cover of the November 1985 issue of Playboy, and was the Playboy’s Playmate Of The Month for April 1986.
Teri’s Career Goes Into Overdrive!
As I said, for many young Actresses, a Playboy appearance can shine a bright spotlight. This led to the second distinct aspect of her career: acting!
She made her first TV appearance in an uncredited role on “Miami Vice” that same year. From there, she
She has amassed more than 100 credits, let’s focus first other mainstream work!
“Return Of The Killer Tomatoes”
How about his for a tagline for this 1988 sequel to “Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes”:
“They Back And This Time They’re Really Stewed!”
Check out the trailer:
Yep, she co-starred with a very young George Clooney, who is sporting a look that he has used in several of the Coen Brothers film as well!
Next up for Teri:
“Savage Beach”
In 1989, Weigel was one of Andy Sidaris’s kick ass females…he made a string of action thrillers that were huge on VHS…oh, and looked who starred in this one:
Dona Speir had a great run of Sidaris thrillers…see some of her most provocative work here:
For Weigel she continued to appear in mainstream TV and film roles like these:
She was in “Marked For Death” in 1990, and for her role in “Predator 2” that same year, she spends almost her entire screen time completely naked!
The same goes for her role in “Innocent Blood”:
On TV, she played the character “Jade” on the raucous series “Married… with Children.”
She then became only the second Playmate ever to also appear in Penthouse magazine, with even more revealing photos.
By the way, the very first Playmate to go on to pose for Penthouse was Ursula Buchfellner:
I know Ursula through her completely nude performance in Director Jess Franco’s crazy zombie film “Devil Hunter!”

Now to the last dramatic change in Teri’s career!
Weigel was in a car accident in August 1990, in which she suffered severe neck and back injuries that required five operations. Sadly, newspapers found it funny – check this headline out:
Accoring to her online biography, the Actress was unable to work for months due to her injuries, and she and her husband were forced to sell their home and move into an apartment.
During production on a one of Weigel’s last projects for Playboy, a co-worker suggested she look at making adult films to earn money – and with that, she got into the adult film business!
Her first film was “Inferno” – and from that point on, she made dozens and dozens of adult films.
Weigel also underwent augmentation surgery, enlarging her breasts to 36DD. Here she is from Playboy:
And here she is, enhanced:
Teri’s “Bunny Battle!”
Apparently, Hugh Hefner didn’t find Teri’s new career path to his liking.
In 2000, Playboy sued Weigel over her use of the Playboy logo on her website. That lawsuit got her a lot of press, but also unwanted controversy. Considering the career paths of many other former Playmates, it seems very petty to try and whitewash her from their history.
Even with that pothole in the road, Teri moved on and has continued to work and is still very active in all forms of media, so bravo to her!
As for her conflict with Playboy – remember the controversy over the first X-rated Playmate?
For a magazine that always celebrated the “good girl” aspects of their Playmates, one took it very close to the line – here’s the story of their first “X-rated” Playmate:
Sadly, not all stars of this era have survived:
Angela Aames worked with Tom Hanks, and starred in a number of great films and TV shows in the 80’s as well:
Her death at an early age was shocking – you can click here to read her story:

Unfortunately, TW went on to “find work” at Denis Hof’s famous “Bunny Ranch” and the last thing I ever saw of her was a fishing charter company in Florida that featured “bikini models”

I saw the Bunny Ranch info on her bio, wasn’t sure if it was 100% so I didn’t include it – sadly, most of the entertainers in the adult world have a difficult with career choices after a certain age…thanks for the comment always great to hear from you!
