The Provocative Career Of French Actress Cathy Stewart!
My “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” has her greatest films!
Cathy was born in 1956 in Royan, France as Catherine Greiner.
During her career she mostly used the professional name of Cathy Stewart, along with a few others.
It turns out that I’d seen her in a film that starred one of France’s most gorgeous stars…more on her in a second…
Cathy jumped right into adult film with roles in movies like “Porno Libido”…
These French films had names like 1979’s “La Nymphomane Lubrique” – but she also worked for Directors like Jean Rollin, who cast her in “Disco Sex” in 1978:
The plot is exactly what the title suggests!
A disco band shows up at a studio to make a new album, but they are badly mobbed by a bunch of female groupies. A big orgy breaks out that postpone the recording session.
And it was Director Rollin who gave Cathy worldwide exposure with her biggest hit:
“Night Of The Hunted!”
A woman is taken to a mysterious clinic whose patients have a mental disorder in which their memories and identities are disintegrating as a result of a strange environmental accident.

Cathy had some terrific scenes with another of the biggest Adult Film stars of France…
Also appearing in the film was the stunningly beautiful Jean Rollin regular Brigitte Lahaie.

While Cathy was best known for “The Night of the Hunted”, she ultimately had more than 140 credits!
She was also a very popular Adult magazine Model as well – but even with all of that, she was a troubled soul…
Wikipedia reports that Cathy suffered from drug addiction and stopped acting in the 1980s.
Shockingly, she died from a drug overdose on August 9, 1994 in Breuillet, France at the age of 38.

Well there you go Pete! Not sure if you’ve ever tried any of French Director Jean Rollin’s films, but he had quite the stable of cult movie queens in his moody horror films!
