Italian Actress Gabriella Giorgelli – From “Cellblocks” To Ribald Comedies And More!

Celebrating An Italian Sex Kitten!

I’ve gotten a lot of great suggestions for Cult Movie Queens to profile – thanks in part to some films I have featured on this blog – and that’s what happened with the prolific Italian Actress Gabriella Giorgelli!

Gabriella Giorgelli was born on July 29, 1941 in the town of Carerra, located in Tuscany Italy. Because most of her work was in her home country, I wasn’t aware of her – until one of my blog readers pointed out she appeared with a Cult Movie Queen I had just profiled!

I’ll explain more in a moment!

Gabriella had more than 70 credits in her career, mostly in Italy and Europe, but a few of her cult films made it to the US…here are the most provocative:

Decameroticus is a 1972 film directed by Pier Giorgio Ferretti.

Inspired by tales of Boccaccio, Aretino and Bandello, it is divided into five episodes, in which the main theme is that of the cuckolded husband.

Gabriella also appeared in a “women in prison” film!

“Women In Cellblock 7”

What a wild wild genre! A woman goes behind bars in order to save her father’s life in this 1973 “women in prison” gem!

Of course, these films are nothing more than an excuse to show imprisoned women tortured or showering – a staple of the genre!

Funny, research about this film led me to this shot:

That’s Actress Susan Hemingway, who I profiled…but this is the notorious “Women in Cellblock NINE” – directed by Jess Franco!

You can see all of Susan’s most provocative roles here:

“The Beast!”

Gabriella also starred alongside legendary madman Kalus Kinski in this 1974 western:

Giorgelli had a string of films across many different genres, always willing to put it all out there:

And what about this title?

“Excuse Me Padre…Are You Horny?”

This 1975 Italian sex comedy is a great excuse to show lots of naked women!

A young priest finds that he has problems fending off the advances of the beautiful and horny women who attend his Sunday services.

Here are a few more Giorgelli highlights:

Of course, I shared a story about another Italian Sex Kitten in this film as well:

Donatella Damiani also starred int he film, and she had a very provocative career as well – you can see her biggest hits here:

Gabriella was a voluptuous Italian Actress who had a long career in film and TV:

Most never made it out of Italy, but thanks to the internet, her successful career can be celebrated today!

I have highlighted the work of a number of Italian Movie Queens – one of whom was very spicy!

Debora Caprioglio had a very similar look at worked around the same time – see her most provocative roles here!

Debora Caprioglio is certainly one of Italy’s most iconic sex kittens, and continues to work today…

She was one of many Italian Cult Movie Queens I have discovered in the last year or so – it all began when I saw the provocative Italian film “To Be Twenty”:

Gloria Guida gives a powerful performance in this very controversial thriller – one of many great cult films she starred in – like her film with Donatella – click here to see more:

I recently shared this profile of an Italian Actress who was once called “the most beautiful woman in the world”:

Ornella Muti also had a great career, and you can see her most provocative roles by clicking on my story here:
