What Happened To “Supervixen” Shari Eubank? The Mystery Of This Russ Meyer Sex Kitten!

The Mystery Of A “Super Vixen!”

My “2022 Sex Kitten Countdown” has profiled some of cult cinema’s biggest stars – but what about those who shine bristly for just an instant?

This is the story of Shari Eubank – who burst onto the scene in one of Cult Cinema’s most acclaimed Directors – but almost as quickly disappeared from sight!

Shari was born on June 12,1947 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Shari’s father went to the military institute at Roswell – site of many a UFO sighting!

Shari went to Farmer City High School and was a cheerleader and homecoming queen.

She also went to Illinois Wesleyn University and was a member of the Masquers, a student drama organization.

But it was her work with one famous Director that made her an Icon!

It all began when Shari started Modeling – and next thing you know, she was starring in “Super Vixens”!

According to Jimmy McDonough’s biography of the director, Meyer was introduced to Shari by one of his Actresses.

Haji had worked with her at a club called The Classic Cat and later said:

“She was a damn good actress and she didn’t even know it.”

“Super Vixens!”

This 1975 Russ Meyer film showcased some of his greatest on-screen talent – but he gave the lead to Shari, who made the most of the opportunity!

Here’s the plot: Clint has to leave his job at Martin Bormann’s gas station after his wife is murdered by psycho cop Harry Sledge, who tries to pin the murder on Clint!

Crossing America, Clint gets sexually harassed on all sides by various voluptuous nymphomaniacs – check out the trailer!

Shari certainly made the most of her opportunity, showcasing her talent in the famous Russ Meyer way!

And look who also dropped into the film:

Yes, the legendary Uschi Digard literally dropped from the rafters – Uschi is such an Icon, with perhaps the funniest cameo in one of the funniest movies ever made!

After “Supervixens”, Shari appeared in this film, which used her previous role as a big selling tool:

“Chesty Anderson U.S. Navy” followed in 1976 – but even with the salacious advertising, there’s very little nudity in the film!

When one of her friends goes missing, Chesty and several fellow WAVES go looking for her and end up in a world of senatorial corruption and Mafia intimidation.

Roseanne Katon also appeared in the film – another Cult Movie Queen of that era!

You can see all of her greatest hits here:

Now, back to the mystery of Shari Eubanks…Director Meyer, who said “she had real guts”, also said that Shari had inherited a great deal of money from her family – was that why she dropped out of the entertainment business and moved back to Illinois?

The few online bios say little, except to suggest she went into teaching at Farmer City High School in Illinois…either way, it was a great loss to cult cinema!

Shari had a great onscreen presence – and Meyer knew how to maximize it – his specialty:

She was also known as Sharon Kelly, and she was in “Supervixens” as well as much much more – see her greatest hits here:

By the way, Shari was one of the many sex kittens discovered by Meyer.

Dolly Reed appeared in a single Russ Meyer film as well…see her revealing story by clicking here:

And let’s not forget the original “Vixen”:

Erica Gavin starred in “Vixen” and many other great cult films – check out her career here:

  1. Thanks for finally getting to Ms. Eubank. ‘Supervixens’ is my personal favorite Russ Meyer film, and in the dual role she is actually quite excellent in it. I think she could’ve go on to have a more legitimate acting career. I’m also curious whatever became of Larissa Ely and Linda Ashton of ‘Cherry, Harry, and Raquel’ fame.

  2. As you know, I was a big fan of Russ’s films. Shari was one of the ‘smaller’ vixens, as I recall. Glad to hear she did well, and got out of the business intact.
    Best wishes, Pete.
