Celebrating Empowered Successful Actress, Author And Playmate Heidi Sorenson!

My “2022 Sex Kitten Countdown” highlights women who have navigated the sometime perilous world of entertainment…and here is one who had great success and a happy life as well!

Heidi Sorenson was born in 1960 in Vancouver, Canada. As with many of the Actress / Models I have profiled, she had a normal childhood – but pictures like this show why she would be noticed…

Heidi’s life changed when her natural beauty was spotted by a talent scout! It began as many do with a local contest that got national attention.

Heidi was spotted by a scout for “Playboy” magazine after winning a local bikini contest. That led to Sorenson being chosen as the Playmate of the Month in July 1981.

Heidi not only was a Playmate, she also became a member of the “Singing Playmates” musical group!

She continued to pose for “Playboy” well into her thirties as well – and she ended up appearing in a number of movies and TV shows – here are a few of her most well known!

Sorenson was memorable as a “vestal virgin” in the Mel Brooks comedy “History Of The World: Part I” in 1981, and she was also a sexy hooker in the vampire film “Fright Night” in 1985.

Heidi made lots of guest appearances on such TV shows as “Cheers”, “T.J. Hooker” and many others.

Among her other film credits were “Spies Like Us” and “Roxanne.”

Heidi’s regular appearances in Playboy also gave her a high profile throughout the 80’s.

Heidi has had a great career – she wrote the book “You Can Date Me”, and also several screenplays and TV shows.

She is also a licensed counselor specializing in helping women recovering from breast cancer in Vancouver, BC.

Bravo to Heidi for such an empowered career!
