Meet The “Caged Virgin!”
Yes, all it takes is a wild wild WILD movie title to catch my attention!
My “2022 Sex Kitten Countdown” celebrates the provocative career of French Actress Marie-Pierre Castel – and her edgiest roles!
Marie-Pierre Castel was born on February 5, 1948 in Villejuif, Val-de-Marne, France.
Castel started her career working in the beauty industry – as a Barber!
Lucky for us, an iconic French Film Director found her!
Marie-Pierre Castel had a dozen film credits, and I didn’t realize I had seen several of her films – I discovered that thanks to one of the great Facebook cult film sites, where this poster was shared:

What a title for a film! Oh, except that it really wasn’t called that at all! Instead, I own it as part of the French Director Jean Rollin’s “Vampire” collection!
Yes, this is actually French Director Rollin’s moody vampire film “Requiem For A Vampire.”

Here’s the plot:
Two girls on the run get lost in the French countryside, and wind up in a haunted chateau occupied by an ailing vampire and his servants.
Castel’s “Twin” Appearances!
Did you know that Marie-Pierre had a twin? That’s right, her Sister Catherine appeared in several films with her!
The Sisters starred together in the Rollin film “The Nude Vampire”, “Lips Of Blood”, “Hard Penetrations and “Bacchanales Sexuelles”!
Rollin’s passion was for vampire films – which is how I discovered Castel in “Requiem For A Vampire”…in fact, Castel got her first film role for Rollin in his 1970 shocker “The Nude Vampire!”

Lucky for us, most of Rollin’s films have been remastered and released for film buffs to enjoy…I have 8 of them myself!
Castel went on to work with Rollin in 1971 in “The Shiver Of The Vampires”.
She became one of Rollin’s regulars, also appearing in this shocking 1974 film:

Castel became one of Rollin’s “go to” Actresses in the 70’s.
She also made the 1975 shocker “Lips Of Blood” with Rollin.

Rollin also made adult films under the name Michel Gentil, and she appeared in his 1976 hardcore film “Double Penetrations!”
Castel also used the names “Pony Tricot”, “Pony Castel” and “Marie-Pierre Tricot” in a few of her films as well…
She made all of her films in a very short period of time. After one last film in 1977, Castel left the business….
