The world of cult cinema includes a genre of low budget, erotic horror from the late 90’s and 2000’s that found a lucrative business in home sales and pay cable, and Darian was one of the leading ladies!
Darian Caine was born on October 24, 1973 in Amherst, Massachusetts. IMDB.com has a great biography of her life and career, and they report that she was a varsity cheerleader in high school.
According to IMDB.com: “Darian began her modeling career after a scout for a company gave her his card after spotting her in a New York City diner. Caine not only modeled for various shoe, jewelry, and lingerie catalogs, but also worked as an extra on the TV shows “NYPD Blue” and “Law & Order.”
From that beginning, Darian moved into cult films and has never slowed down!
In her career to date, Darian has more than 75 credits – here are some of her best films:
Caine made her debut in “Girl Explores Girl: The Alien Encounter” and became a regular in films released by Seduction Cinema.
Darian has a long string of erotic thriller, horror films, dramas and parodies…as she told an interview once about whether she is uncomfortable working nude:
“Never! I guess when you’re comfortable with the people you’re working with and they’re more concerned with lighting and equipment it’s not a thought. Plus even when I was a kid I hated clothes!”
Well, who wants to argue with that?
The Seduction Cinema and After Hours Cinema labels were leaders int he erotic direct-to-video genre – I’ve profiled many of their stars in the past as well:
Caine also became a popular Model in a variety of men’s magazines as well.
While very low budget, these films are goofy fun, a throwback to the days of fun “drive-in” fare. Darian seems to have had a blast in these movies.

This is exactly the kind of film that deserves to be seen – using creativity and nudity of course to make a low budget superhero film – which also starred Julian Wells!

Caine — and many of the women willing to strip naked on screen in low budget exploitation movies around that time until now — aren’t anywhere near as sexy as those from the 60s, 70s and 80s. In fact, most come off as slutty strippers, but not in a good way. But their backstories are still fascinating.
