Celebrating Sicilian Sex Kitten Maria Grazia Cucinotta!
First of all, thanks to my FB friend for the request to look at the career of Maria Grazia Cucinotta – because what a career it is!
One goal of my “2022 Sex Kitten Countdown” is to highlight some lesser-known cult films – and the Cult Movie Queens who starred in them!
Maria Grazia Cucinotta was born on July 27 1968 in Sicily. I recently visited this island on the “boot” of Italy – it’s gorgeous!
Maria is best known for her work in Italian film and TV, but with more than 90 credits, she has popped up in some major International hits as well – let’s take a look!
She first appeared on Italian TV in 1987, and her career took off in the early 90’s…but it was in 1994 when she made an international splash…
“The Day Of The Beast”
This 1995 shocker was an international hit.
Bent on committing as many sins as possible to avert the birth of the beast, a Catholic priest teams up with a Black Metal aficionado and an Italian connoisseur of the occult. Now, he must become an unrelenting sinner. Is there still hope?

Maria became a very popular Model as well, with several high profile pictorials like these:
Maria has more than 90 screen credits, but is best known for “Il Postino” – and to action film fans as a “Bond Girl!”
“The World Is Not Enough” is not a very good 007 film at all, but her small role as “Cigar Girl” made her a “Bond girl” – and also raised her profile even more.
