Ann Michelle Was “The Virgin Witch!” Her Wild Cult Film Career – Including One With Her Sister!

Celebrating Cult Actress Ann Michelle!

When I come across a terrific cult movie, I’m always interested in finding out about the Actresses who starred in them, and that was the case with Actress Ann Michelle!

She was born Ann Nathan in 1952 in England. She appeared in two dozen films in the early 70’s including one with her sister Vicki!

Ann Michelle Is “The Virgin Witch!”

In fact, the film that caught my eye is the one they both appeared in, and it’s a fun 70’s horror film worth seeing – let’s take a closer look!

That’s Ann on the right, and her sister Vicki on the left – and here is the film that appeared in together, with a great cult film title…

1971’s “The Virgin Witch” has everything you want from a horror film: haunted houses, virgin sacrifice, blood, topped with a healthy dose of nudity!

Here’s the plot:

A prospective model and her sister travel out of town to a remote castle in order to audition for an important modeling shoot!

Here is the trailer for “The Virgin Witch”:

Of course, there is much more going on that a photo shoot: she is recruiting a virgin for induction into a witch’s coven!

So there you have the reason she’s a “Virgin Witch”, but if you are worried about lack of nudity and sexual situations, don’t be:

Creepy locations, nudity for the sake of nudity, and the constant treat of virgin sacrifice keeps the film movie along nicely…

While erotic horror films were numerous in the early 70’s they gradually faded away.

Michelle herself is reported to have later disowned “The Virgin Witch”, according to an article in 1973, where she complained that the producer had just wanted nude scenes.

We, he got them!

Michelle went on to star in the cult British horror film “Psychomania” in 1973, and also starred in “House of Whipcord” and “Mistress Pamela” in 1974.

After a few more films, she stopped acting.

One last bit of wild trivia, thanks to IMDB.com:

She was raised by German au pair who went on to be international Movie Star Elke Sommer!

Elke had quite the cult film career as well – including a classic horror film with Telly Savalas!

  1. Remarkably the co-producer and writer of Virgin Witch behind the pseudonyms was Hazel Adair, well-known in the UK at the time as the creator and writer of TV soap operas. For anyone interested in British films full of nudity and sex, Virgin Witch is a must!
